[edit] Remarks
According to Moss, the only species of Salsola we have in Alberta is S. kali L. USDA Plants Database shows S. tragus as the only Salsola that occurs here. Salsola pestifer A. Nels is a no longer accepted synonym for S. tragus. Unfortunately, page titles in Wikimedia are not easy to change.
See IRIS No. 59 for an article on russian thistle in native montane grassland in Jasper NP.
