Native, currently designated as "nuisance"
Flixweed, Tansy Mustard Descurainia sophia
Natureserve I-Rank: Medium/Low

Noted in six locations in unmanaged areas of the Red Deer parks system: forest edges, disturbed areas. --Tony Blake 11:33, 18 April 2009 (CDT)
Blue Devil Echium vulgare
currently designated "noxious"
- A common sight in South-western AB but I have only found one isolated occurance in Central AB (probably brought in on railway maintenece equipment). With a coordinated regional approach, it may be possible to keep it contained in the south. --Tony Blake 23:20, 17 April 2009 (CDT)
Russian Olive Elaeagnus angustifolia
Natureserve I-Rank: High
Autumn Olive Elaeagnus umbellata
Natureserve I-Rank: High
Exotic, not listed by ANHIC. USDA shows it in USA (AL, AR, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV), CAN (ON)

There is detailed Canadian range and biology information available (Darbyshire et al., 2003). In Canada, the only known population in southern QC is undergoing eradication."
HI Jim. Just received an e-mail from the Canadian Weed Science Society. They want wooly cupgrass listed as a restricted pest. Maybe we could add that one to the restricted list here in Alberta. From Harry Brook. Posted by Jim Broatch
California Filaree, Stork's-bill Erodium cicutarium
Natureserve I-Rank: Medium/Low
currently designated "noxious"

Wormseed Mustard Erysimum cheiranthoides ssp. altum
Native, listed by ANHIC as Erysimum cheiranthoides
Cypress Spurge Euphorbia cyparissias
Natureserve I-Rank: High/Low
Exotic, not listed by ANHIC. USDA shows it in USA (AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY), CAN (BC, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC, SK) Currently designated "noxious"
- I've never heard of this as a serious problem in AB (Alec). (Nor have we, ANPC via Jim)
- I have only seen it in flowerbeds in the Peace Region where we require it to be controlled. Aggressive and difficult to kill, a concern (in my mind) due to the potential for the milky sap to cause temporary or permanent blindness. Education and awareness suffices, remove from NOX. Normand Boulet
