Remarks

Taxonomy is not clear and it's not easy to separate native from introduced populations. Still, it is often seen along trails, but not away from them in similar habitat, and does tend to increase with disturbance, both of which suggest expanding range.

Pl. 2: 899. 1753. - "...Achillea millefolium is morphologically variable and has been treated as either a single species with varieties or as multiple distinct species. At least 58 names have been used for North American specimens..."

The USDA Plants database lists 12 subtaxa of A. millefolium that can be found in North America, but only Achillea millefolium var. millefolium is believed to be introduced.
