Remarks
Yellow Gentian is a native of montane regions in Europe. It is not native anywhere in North America. It has been reported growing without cultivation in two Alberta locations, one in the Spray Lakes Valley, and one at Grotto Mountain Pond, west of Exshaw. At Grotto Pond, it may have been propagated vegetatively in fill, since the plants are growing along the alignment of an abandoned road.
